Tagger's Art is "Hiring"

No writing experience needed!

If you can ask questions, be friendly, email, be persistent, do follow-ups and have a working knowledge of Microsoft Word/Office 2007 then we need you!

We are currently in need of the following :

Promotion's Manager - You would be in charge of organizing tag contests and getting prizes from our affiliates. You would also be in charge of contacting the winners and making sure they receive their prizes.

Artist Writer - Get to know artists first hand! Contact artists, write up questions and put the final interview together in a neat, orderly fashion. You must be good at following up with the artists and meeting deadlines.

General Writer - This position will change monthly, depending on what is needed.
Again, Microsoft Word/Office 2007 is needed.

We always strive in having fun but being professional. We do have deadlines, and we do expect a common courtesy when dealing with customers, readers, winners and artists equally.
What's in it for you? If you are a designer, tutorial artist or forum owner, you will receive
a FREE sponsor membership, which allows you to receive FREE advertising and a promotion spot in the magazine anytime you'd like (designers only).
If you would like to be considered for any of the positions above, please contact the editor by email via the link on the left over at  Taggers Art.

You'll need a tube of choice I am using the awesome art of Michael Calandra. You can purchase his art for signature tags at MPT.
AND while you're there be sure to check out the other awesome artists there!

Fonts of choice
Eye Candy 4000 - Gradient Glow

A kit of choice I am using a gorgeous collab  kit called Into the Night by Sarah and Polkadot Scraps.  You can find this kit over at Pimp my tags with Scraps store here.
Thanks so much ladies!

Ready?

Let's get started!

Open a new 700x700 canvas - we can always crop/re-size later!

From Polkadot Scraps portion of the kit open up frame 7 copy and paste it as a new layer onto your canvas. With your magic wand select inside the frame then go to selections-modify-expand by 3 now open up a paper I used paper 3 from Sarah's portion of the kit then go to selections-invert and hit delete. Move this layer below the frame layer.

This is where I added my tube since it is only a half tube I copied and pasted it as a new layer arranging it where I wanted it then duplicated it and moved that layer down below the frame but above the paper layer. Now you can take your eraser tool and erase what is over the frame so it looks like shes in the frame.

I took the tombstone and the tree from Sarah's portion of the kit copied and pasted them onto the canvas re-sizing them so they fit nicely  I arranged one on each side. Then I opend up the moon from Polkadot Scraps portion of the kit re-sized it so it fit nicely copied and pasted it on to the frame moving it below the tree layer and up in the top left corner. Placement is up to you with these elements don't feel you have to make it exactly like mine.

I used ribbon 4 from Polkadot Scraps portion of the kit for along the bottom of the tag. I also used the spray2 from her portion of the kit copied and pasted it onto the canvas arranged it so it was under the other layers duplicated it then mirrored and flipped it.

I wrote 'Into the night...' at the top of the tag and added the same gradient glow and drop shadow you'll see in the screen-shots for the name.

Now we're going to add your name in a font of choice with a gradient glow and a drop shadow. Settings I used shown in the screen-shots below.

Finally add your copyright and license number if applicable save as png or jpeg whichever you prefer and we're done!

I hope you enjoyed this tutorial and found it easy to follow.

A kit of choice I am using a gorgeous  kit called Forever Love by Gemini Creationz.  You can find out where whe sells her gorgeous kits from her blog HERE.
Thanks SO much Vicki!

Ready?

Let's get started!

Open a new 700x700 canvas - we can always crop/re-size later!

From the kit open up frame 1 copy and paste it as a new layer onto your canvas. Next we're going to take your magic wand and select inside the frame then to go selections-modify-expand by 3 then open a paper or choice, I used paper 9 from the kit. Copy and paste it as a new layer you can re-size it a little if you want more of the colors to show then just the one then go to selections-invert and hit delete on your keyboard. Move this layer below the frame layer, DO NOT deselect yet! Open up your tube or image copy and paste it as a new layer move it below the frame layer BUT above the paper layer and hit delete just in case any overhangs the frame. Duplicate your tube layer then go to Adjust-Blur-Gaussian blur- 3 and change the blend mode to soft light.

Next I opened up flower 5 from the kit copy and paste it onto your canvas make sure its on the top not under the frame. Re-size it so it fits your tag nicely I moved mine to the bottom left of the frame but placement is up to you.

Next I used the butterfly accent copy and paste it as a new layer re-size it a little and move it down below the frame and tube layers but above the paper layer.

Open up the glitter splat copy and paste it as a new layer you can re-size it a tiny bit so it fits your canvas nicely move this layer to the very bottom of your palette. Move it to the top left then copy, mirror and flip the copied layer.

Now we're going to add your name with a gradient glow and a drop shadow my settings are shown in the screen-shots below.

Finally add your copyright and license number if applicable save as png or jpeg whichever you prefer and we're done!
I hope you enjoyed this tutorial and found it easy to follow.
